T. Handan Akyuz

Hi! I'm T. Handan Akyuz (they/them), a Learning Experience Designer and e-Learning Specialist based in Edmonton, AB. I aim to empower adult learners to achieve their goals and build necessary skills to continue their learning journey with my inclusive, engaging, and accessible learning experiences. With a Master's degree in Educational Research - Specialization in Curriculum & Learning - from the University of Calgary and professional experience designing online courses for non-profits and private colleges, I bring a learner- & learning-centered approach to online professional development courses.

My work spans course development on multiple LMS platforms (Moodle, D2L, Articulate Rise 360), curriculum design, multimedia content creation, and educational technology adaptation and implementation. My academic and professional research interests include learning experience design, eLearning, adult learning, andragogy, instructional design, professional development, quality assurance.
